Bulk handling of liquids is generally the most efficient and cheapest way to move them. If you transport sufficient volume then you should consider this way of transportation. Transport costs may considerably affect the marketing potential of your product.

Trilobes has an in depth knowledge of transport costs of moving (food) liquids in bulk systems. We know it is essential to keep your product at the proper condition, whether it should be cooled at minus 8 degrees Celsius (FCOJ) or at plus 45 degrees Celsius (Palm Oil). Our systems (mostly in stainless steel) meet the highest hygiene standards.

With bulk systems there are no packaging costs; drums and bins may contribute up to US$ 100 in cost per ton. This has a substantial impact on the total cost to your client. For example transporting orange juice from South America to Europe may cost US$ 150 in bulk versus US$ 300 in drums. Often your clients may prefer receiving in bulk rather then in drums, which enables them to package directly for their own markets.
