Project approach

Project approach

The team of Trilobes has always worked in close relationship with their clients. Often the clients have certain ideas and plans, but not always a clear or concrete plan. We support them in developing alternatives and cost estimations of these alternatives; a feasibility study may be part of the initial phase. If appropriate we may use our extensive network in the food logistics and shipping world to help you realize your plans. Nevertheless we also are aware that logistical studies are often part of a (new) strategy and are therefore highly confidential.

For example we recently studied the feasibility of setting up a bulk logistic system for juices in Asia, answering questions like;

  • How and what volume can we get to coast?
  • Would this be sufficient for a bulk port terminal?
  • What shipping companies are willing to transport in bulk?
  • Are there receiving terminals in the country of destination?

After a certain design is chosen the next steps are detailed engineering (process, tanks, electrical, automation) and definite cost calculations. Trilobes prefers to work as a turnkey contractor, being responsible for the design, the engineering as well as the complete project management; we think the client is best served with a clear definition of responsibility and results. Over the last 20 years we have built up a track record of delivering high quality projects, on time and with low maintenance cost.

After a project the contacts with our clients do not stop. Though we have often been involved in large projects, we realize that a good customer relationship is often maintained by rapid service.
